MAE wants to make sure every member is confident in their job and confident in their ability to help Mississippi students reach their highest potential. We support professional development opportunities across a variety of formats, including online learning.
A micro-credential is a short, competency-based recognition. NEA offers more than 175 micro-credentials created by educators, for educators, to make it easier for everyone in the education profession to access professional learning opportunities throughout their careers.
Licensure provides the professional and public assurance that educators have met State teaching standards and have demonstrated their readiness to teach and improve student learning.
NEA’s Professional Excellence Portal (PEP) provides independent study courses that are free to members. All you have to do is register in the system and take the self-paced course of your choice! Each course is three hours and includes a certificate of completion granted at the end of the course. We’ve put together a list of courses we think MAE educators will find particularly interesting below. Sign up and get started today!
