Developing the skills to lead in your schools and with your union

We have the tools and resources for MAE members ready to take the next step in their careers or in their locals.

Members who are ready to take the next steps to become leaders as public school employees or in MAE on a state-wide or local level are encouraged to participate in these leadership opportunities.

MAE Summer Leadership Summit

MAE offers a Leadership Development program annually in the month of June. Members can learn an array of leadership skills to enhance their abilities to lead their locals and, in so doing, grow the power of our union. We know that our power is directly proportional to the strength of our locals, and we are proud to help members grow as the most powerful voice for education in Mississippi.

NEA Leadership Development Resources

NEA has developed a repository of excellent leadership training modules that MAE makes available to our members. Get information here on how you can take the next step in your career or in the Association, no matter what that step may be.
